Search Engine Optimization
Wikipedia says: “Is the process of affecting the online visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine’s unpaid results, often referred to as “natural”, “organic”, or “earned” results”
What is SEO?
SEO web positioning is one of the four major branches in which we can separate digital marketing. The acronym SEO means ‘Search Engine Optimization’.
The acronym is a bit confusing, to clarify, we can say that it is the study and optimization of the search results thrown by Google and other search engines to the different queries of a product or service.
Here is an example: If you have a real estate business and its has an online website, our goal will be for the largest number of users to enter the site and consult about the rental or sale of any of our available properties.
Therefore our phrases of interest, that a person can use to find us, can be of the type “real estate agency in … [our city or neighborhood]” or “rental of properties in …”, etc.

Focus on people NOT robots
Google returns its list of results ordered by a score assigned to each site according to its algorithm. The first results are the ones that take the most clicks since users agree with the Google criteria sorting them. We assume that the best results are those that appear on first results.
More traffic = More sales
In summary, Google strives every day to show the user the most relevant content possible of what is being searched, and by making different optimizations we can align ourselves with it to make a site improve its ranking and generate more visitors every day online. And as we all know, more visitors mean more conversions (purchase of products, completion of forms, etc.)
